Fourth Quarter Book Report
This is it. The last and final book report for this year. Get to the library and select the novel of your choice. With Spring Break fast approaching, you may want to have a little something to read when you have "nothing else to do." Don't forget to make reference notes as you read so that you will be all set to write the final book report summary.

Textbook Vandalism
Lately I have had to repair a number of textbooks. You are responsible for the care of the textbooks assigned to the seat you occupy. These books are NOT your personal property; they have been bought and paid for by the taxpayers of the Redlands Unified School District. Therefore, the moment you discover damage that was not there the last time you used the book, report it immediately. You may be held responsible for damage that goes unreported. Please respect school property.

Now is a good time to request your fourth novel. Don't wait until it is too late to check out the novel of your choice. Nine weeks passes quickly and the end of the fourth quarter will be here before you realize it. Don't procrastinate! The fourth quarter book report is Due June 5, 2010. Remember, only books on the book list are accepted for social studies book reports.
Proper Headings on Papers
Reminder please remember...all papers must have a"Proper Heading" on them. That means: Last Name, First Name; Date; Period; Assignment; all written in the upper right-hand corner of your paper. You have been reminded to do this since school began, if you choose to be careless, you will suffer the consequences. Any work I receive without identification of any kind will be filed in the "No Name, No Credit" bin and will not be retrieved.
Quarterly Book Reports
The historical book list has been posted in the "Procedures" file. Please take a look at the list and choose a novel for the fourthquarter book report which is due June 5th. You have been given a goldenrod sheet that explains how to write the book report. This information is also avaliable in the "Procedures" file. The next book report is due June 5, 2010. Remember, you will receive English and Social Studies credit for this assignment. Don't procrastinate.
Agendas are a MUST!
Please be aware that all students must have an agenda. Daily assignments are written on the board in class each day. It is your responsibility, as a student, to write down the homework assignments. Do not rely on this webpage. It is always best to have a "hard copy" of your homework assignments in case there is a technical failure. I will be glad to initial your agenda entry. Organization is one of the essential elements of success. Using your agenda will help you become successful in school and later in life.
